Toward the end of 2023, I found myself at a crossroads. I was unhappy and realized that some things that used to be important to me weren’t so important anymore. So, I did something very out of character and quit my full-time job to push the reset button.

Then, my financial advisor (really!) joked that I should lean into the lost millennial persona and travel through Europe.

So I did, for TWO MONTHS! In March and April 2024, I spent 61 days traveling solo through ten countries by train and bus and staying in hostels. There were some things I planned for, but for the most part, I figured it out as I went.

When I initially quit my job, traveling had crossed my mind, but I thought, “No, that would be kind of irresponsible.” But with some time, that turned into, “Well, why not? If not now, when else would I be able to do this?” Some days, it still feels a bit wild and unreal that I did it, but I am so happy that I did.

This space is for sharing my notes, memories, and thoughts. I imagine it will be a while before I close this chapter of sharing about my travels, so stay tuned as I continue to add more. If you are interested, I also shared my daily travels on my Instagram stories, all saved in my highlights under “Europe /24 #1, #2, etc.”
